Purdue Polytechnic Varsity Techies and Warren Central Varsity Warriors tied 8-8 on Thursday. Purdue Polytechnic Varsity Techies opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run. Harris singled down the left field line, which helped Warren Central Varsity Warriors tie the game at one in the top of the second. Purdue Polytechnic Varsity Techies took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Briceno Vega singled down the left field line, Winkler singled , Jeffers grounded out, and Purdue Polytechnic Varsity Techies scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Warren Central Varsity Warriors tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a single by Castillo, a single by Harris, and a ground out by Townsend. Purdue Polytechnic Varsity Techies took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Smith singled down the left field line, and Winkler walked, each scoring one run. Warren Central Varsity Warriors took the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Thompson singled to right field, and Haag doubled, each scoring one run.
