There were runs aplenty on Monday, as Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies took down Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis 11-10. Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies collected four hits, while Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis had five. Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies rallied for the victory despite trailing 9-3 in the fourth. Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis opened the scoring in the second after French singled, scoring one run. Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis committed an error, which helped Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies tie the game at one in the bottom of the second. A single by Valdez gave Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the third. Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring eight runs on three hits to take the lead, 9-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Snyder that drove in three. Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a hit by a pitch, a hit by a pitch, a line out by Noel-Higgins, and a passed ball. Dewald earned the win for Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Ramirez took the loss for Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis. The reliever went two innings, surrendering one run (zero earned) on zero hits, striking out two and walking three. Thomas led things off on the hill for Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Garcia started on the bump for Indy Genesis HomeSchool Junior Varsity Genesis. The starter surrendered three hits and five runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking five. Abdurrahim threw one inning of scoreless ball for Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies in relief. The southpaw allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking one. Valdez, the number seven hitter for Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies, led the way with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Bailey, Williams, Thomas, and Valdez each collected one hit for Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies. Bailey led Purdue Polytechnic Junior Varsity Techies with two walks.
