The suPURDUEper Robotics Team 7457 from Purdue Polytechnic Englewood continued its dominant run this past weekend, capturing its second consecutive event championship in Lafayette, Indiana. The Techies were nearly unstoppable, finishing the weekend with a perfect 17-0 record, extending their current winning streak to an incredible 34 straight matches over the past two competitions. From the start of qualifications, Team 7457 established itself as the clear top contender, finishing as the #1 ranked team and earning the first overall selection in alliance picks. They chose to partner with Team THRUST 1501 and The Conductors (Team 4580) out of Ben Davis High School, forming a powerhouse alliance. That alliance delivered exceptional performances throughout the elimination rounds, posting eye-popping scores all the way to the championship. In the finals, they set the tone early with an incredible 608-point performance in the opening match, cruising to the event title. With the victory, suPURDUEper Robotics now sits as the #1 ranked team in Indiana, 17th in the United States, and 20th in the world out of nearly 3,500 teams globally—a testament to the team’s preparation, innovation, and execution. Next up, Team 7457 turns its attention to the Indiana State Championships the week of April 17, where they will look to defend their back-to-back state titles. With momentum on their side, the Techies are also aiming to once again punch their ticket to the World Championship in Houston, Texas later this month. The run continues—and suPURDUEper Robotics is proving to be one of the elite teams not just in Indiana, but across the globe.
