Multiple Teams · Purdue Poly Looking to Make a Splash in the City Alliance

One of the most exciting things about this years Techie Sports season, has got to be our inclusion in the City Alliance. Fall Sports got a taste of the City Tournament, but our Wrestling and Basketball teams could make some noise.  Wrestling will host this championship event at Howe High School on December 19, 2020. This senior dominated team could place as high as 3rd or 4th in this field of 12 schools. Junior Heavyweight Ryan Latimore leads a group of four that could be wrestling for a City Title before the day is over.

Boys Basketball has all five starters returning and has picked up a few transfers that could see significant playing time this season. Last year’s leading scorer, Sophomore Ju’Shaun Primus, will lead a hungry group of Seniors that are ready to show the City the new Purdue Poly Basketball.

The most exciting and unknown group is the Girls Basketball team. With three or four new starters and a very young group of returning players, this team should certainly improve on last season’s  four victories. The transferring in of Sophomore Abigail Mason, Junior To’Niyah Langston and the return of Senior Carissa Johnson substantially changes the makeup and athleticism of this young team.
